Cette étude du discours du conte merveilleux africain « Le Roi et ses enfants » s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’étude sémiotique, analysant la structure du conte. Elle est axée sur l’étude sémio-narrative du conte, en appliquant le modèle de Greimas. Ce modèle nous permit d’analyser la syntaxe narrative du conte en trois niveaux, à savoir : le niveau thématique, le niveau figuratif et le niveau narratif. Ces trois niveaux constituent le parcours génératif de la signification du sens du conte, ce qui permet de révéler le sens moral du conte
