Islamic mysticism is a subjective spiritual experience, based on asceticism, abandonment of blameworthy morals, and admiration of praiseworthy attributes. For the purpose of getting close to God Almighty, but in his later ages he was far from his spiritual essence, and became mere rituals, and an area for comfort and laziness, and his people rejected knowledge, and despised the affair of reason, and this led to the spread of ignorance, and the backwardness of Muslims, and the Islamic world in the modern era witnessed a lot Among the attempts made by men of Islamic thought; In order to eliminate the negatives that mixed Islamic mysticism, and one of the most important of these attempts - in my view - is the attempt made by Muhammad Iqbal through his philosophical and poetic writings; In order to return Islamic mysticism to its spiritual essence once again, especially that by his nature and education he tends to mysticism, and his knowledge of the philosophy of Europe has increased his tendency to it; We find that Muhammad Iqbal criticizes negative mysticism that calls for self-annihilation and distance from the world as an absolute evil. He affirms that true Islamic mysticism is based on the survival of the self and its consolidation by overcoming the obstacles that hinder the human path; In order to harness nature to serve humanity, this is achieved by combining religion and science through the mystical experience.
