This study addresses the political aspect of Schopenhauer's philosophy, which many believe that it is a neglected aspect of his entire corpus. This study aims to shed some light on his various opinions with regard to political theory, which appeared in the context of his metaphysical project of the will in addition to his moral theory. This study shows how Schopenhauer was influenced by Thomas Hobbes, especially his concepts of the ‘natural’ man, and the kind of political regime that he favors. This paper aims to discuss: First. Politics as a product of the metaphysics of the will. Second, state theory: its concept and objectives. Third, why he favors monarchy in addition to the principles of political commitment and social contract.
