Abstract

Maritime trade constituted one of the most important sources of income in Kuwait, before the discovery of oil, so the trips of ships to and from Kuwait, and the goods they carry, were the main source of the Kuwaiti economy, and this trade flourished during the reign of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, then this study deals with Kuwait's maritime trade during the reign of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, the most important exports and imports, the methods and means of maritime transport of goods, and the most important goods that ships carry, as well as the role of Sheikh Mubarak in encouraging that trade, and following up the movement of buying and selling.
